Hi all -
| An appeal from one of our
readers last week brought a brilliant response, thank you to
all and estimates are now being acquired. Looking for a
French or English fosse
installer
located in the North Dordogne or south Haute
Vienne
|
As from end of this month the change over day for Sponsors and Top
Border links etc will be the last Friday of the month, so tomorrow night
will see our web sites change over.
Also look out for our new logos on all three web sites tomorrow which
have been designed and supplied by
Steve@cps24.fr
and we are very pleased with them but you will have to wait until
tomorrow to see them. More info on Steve next week.
We along with many more of you are always subject to "spam" emails -
offering to buy items for more than their worth etc like this one
Thanks for your swift respond.
I was so impressed to find the specific item I've been searching for
almost a week now,Despite the fact I'm buying it for my (son) i was very
glad when i saw it on the website.your best price of 1,600 Euros is OK
by me.Please kindly remove the advert and consider its been sold to
me,Ignore other buyers from this onset,I will compensate you an extra
100 Euros for that because i cant afford to let it go and for you to
hold it for me.
Provide me this below details accordingly for your payment to be made
out from my partner first thing on Monday morning.
(1)Cheque payable to:
(2)Home Address:
(3)City
(4)State:
(5)Post code:
(6)Telephone number/mobile phone:
You should be expecting a cheque of 4,200 Euros which include the
shipping fee to cover the shipping expenses on me because i still
have other goods they will pick up for me around the state including
yours so the money is not made for your goods only part of it is
fortheir workmanship.
Just assure me that my excess fund is in a safe hand at your care,
Perhaps my partner couldn't issue out a separate cheque's on a single
transaction like this due to his company policy if not you would have
have a cheque of the equivalent amount which is your asking price, But
due to the unforeseen circumstance made it happen this way.But i believe
i can always count on you with my excess cash.
As soon as the cheque clears in your bank deduct your cost of charges
including the 100 euro i offer you,
then kindly send the rest to my freight agent who's coming to your
comfort home for the pickup in cash on my behalf.
I hope I can trust you with the difference.
You can always email me.once again don't forget to remove if my term of
payment is accepted by you before we proceed further.
Hope to read from you soon.
My Regards.
We can only suggest that when you wish to advertise items for sale with
us or any other web site you place a phone number and not your email
address if you do not wish to handle such enquiries. Most of ours end up
in our junk email folder now.

Would
you like some low energy light bulbs?
The Mairie
of Beyssenac has acquired a substantial number of
11W low energy light bulbs manufactured by Phillips
and GE, in both bayonet and screw fittings. These
have been given to many households in Beyssenac as a
part of the village commitment to reducing energy
consumption. Each stick form bulb is the equivalent
of a traditional 60W bulb and carries a 10 year
guarantee.
There are a
number of bulbs that are surplus to the village
requirements and are now available for purchase by
others. Each bulb is priced at 1€ and this is well
below the price that you would have to pay in a
French store. The proceeds will go to the Beyssenac
church interior restoration fund.
If you are
interested in a purchase could you contact us by
e-mail stating how many and of which type? You will
then be able to collect them at the Beyssenac Mairie
afternoons only Mon-Fri 13.30-17.30hrs. or from us.
Please ask
your friends as well.

EVENTS AND LEISURE
A search on google
tonight for "bars restaurants dordogne and limousin" brought our web
sites up on page one 1st and 7th
GENERAL INFO
|
Restaurant ‘Les Trois Petits Cochons’
near Aubeterre…
Hidden
away in the Charantaise countryside,
somewhere between
Aubeterre-sur-Dronne and Montmoreau,
is an exciting new restaurant,
‘Les Trois
Petits Cochons’ (otherwise
translated as the 3 little pigs!).
The restaurant is located at the
popular Manoir
de Longeveau holiday village,
also known locally for its golf
course ‘Golf d’Aubeterre’.
The restaurant offers good food at
good value. Lunch times are laid
back, with a selection of homemade
specialties, from burgers to salads;
from vegetarian to all day
breakfasts.
Emphasis is very much on quality
rather than quantity.
Evening meals offer a slightly more
sophisticated approach, with a
delightful twist on some of your
favorite international dishes.
The adjoining bar at
Longeveau,
with open views out across the
valley, is the perfect place to
relax with an after-meal drink.
Children
will appreciate the play area or the
freedom to run free. While toddlers
can play happily in the fenced area
while Mum & Dad enjoy a relaxing
drink or bite to eat. (It’s also
worth noting they have baby changing
facilities!).
Longeveau
itself is open to everyone, offering
regular music evenings throughout
the summer and a ‘Vintage Car Day’
on the second Sunday of every month.
Plus there’s live coverage of all
the rugby, football, tennis and golf
etc… including that tournament this
summer!!

Claude Bourbon
Born in France in the early 60’s, Claude Bourbon grew up in Switzerland, where he was classically trained for many years. This finger picking guitarist has performed and studied all over the world; he has crafted an unbelievable fusion of classical and jazz, with ethereal Eastern influences, Spanish and Latin elements with strains of Western folk.
The unique Monsieur Bourbon is a formidable performer. He may have his roots in the blues, but he is inspired by music and song from all around the world, taking these sounds and weaving them into a performance of blues, rock, jazz, songs and melodies that defy a label, all delivered with a gravely voice.
Claude’s inimitable style incorporates all five digits on each hand dancing independently but in unison, plucking, picking and strumming at such speed and precision that his fingers often seem to melt into a blur. Thousands of people in the UK, Europe and USA have enjoyed listening to this virtuoso and for the majority of his audience it is an experience that compels them to return again and again to hear and watch him play, as his fingers lightly dance over the strings of his guitar and create a unique sound that is ’Claude’.
Starting to play guitar at the age of 15, it was the strains of an instrumental version of ‘House of the Rising Sun’ seeping from a neighbour’s garage that ignited the fire in Claude’s soul. He then studied classical guitar for a period, but soon realised that his feeling was more for improvisation than written music, “…as the music is a tool to express yourself…”.
Now based in the UK, some of this guitarists’ influences allow us a fascinating insight into this remarkable musician; Paco De Lucia: Deep Purple’s Richie Blackmore; Joaquin Rodrigo; JJ Cale, Monty Python; JS Bach and Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks…. One reviewer even noted that although “Claude’s roots were in blues, that is like saying Leonardo da Vinci was a painter”. Intrigued?
Claude has played countless venues, performing with several top international musicians including sax player STEVE GROSSMAN (Miles Davis band) and drummer CHARLIE MORGAN (Elton John, Gary Moore)
