Cottage located in the small hamlet of
LA MARCHADERIE , which is a five-minute drive from the village of
ST MATHIEU (60kms SW of LIMOGES), South Haute
Vienne/Dordogne border.
The cottage has been recently renovated and furnished to accommodate 6 people.
It consists of a kitchen/dining room, separate lounge (4 seater sofa, 2 seater
sofa, 2 armchairs, coffee table and low level storage for books etc)
with CD/radio and English Satellite TV.
3 bedrooms (2 double both with wardrobes, 1 twin), bathroom with shower, WC and vanity unit with hand washbasin.
Hot water is constantly available.
Property is insulated and double glazed in bedrooms and bathroom.
The equipment provided includes a washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave oven plus all the normal cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils. Cooking is by a 4-burner gas
stove and oven. There is a garden with lawn and flowerbeds together with an outside patio area with garden furniture and BBQ.
We can also supply a baby cot and high chair if required.
Heating is supplied by a gas fire and electric radiators.
Some external storage available in barns.
Pets accepted by prior arrangement.

LOCATION: The pretty village of ST MATHIEU has a well-stocked supermarket that includes an English food section. It has banks, post office, bakers and newsagent/tabac There is a garage for car repairs etc. The village also has 2 doctors should you need them. A little further away (30 mins drive) is the town of ST JUNIEN which has the larger supermarkets and shopping precincts. The village of PIEGUT, which has a weekly market, is only 20 minutes away. The town of BRANTOME (known as the Venice of France) is about 45mins drive. ANGOULEME is about a 1 hour drive and from here you can easily catch the TGV to PARIS, LILLE and onwards to the UK via Eurostar. LIMOGES airport is approx 50mins away and is served by the budget airlines Ryanair and Flybe going to London (Stansted), East Midlands, Liverpool and Southampton.

Les Quatre Chenes is a converted 19th century barn with a wealth of oak beams and traditional exposed stone walls providing luxury three bedroom, two bathroom accommodation which sleeps eight people in comfort.
For larger groups the accommodation
becomes 4 bed, 3 bath simply by unlocking the door between the main
house and the B&B unit.

can also offer you Starling Lodge, a renovated barn, which is
a real "home from home".
The property is very spacious, full of character yet with all mod cons.

the massive oak beams have been retained along with exposed stone
walls.
The lounge has satellite TV, video, DVD, CD and radio. There is a landline phone but it is necessary to purchase a telephone card at the local stationers.
This property comprises three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with Jacuzzi style massage bath and the other with power massage shower).
The adjoining B and B wing has 3 bedrooms, all en-suite with power massage showers and one or more of these may be used for larger parties.

Les Quatre Chenes and Starling Lodge are located approximately 1 hour from Bordeaux, 2km from the river Dordogne, between Ste Foy la Grande and Bergerac (17kms). Twenty minutes to Bergerac airport. The house is within 10 minutes walking distance to a village, Le Fleix, with a small supermarket, 2 bakers, butchers, post office, 2 schools, stationers, petrol station, cafe/restaurant and a very good hair dressers.
